We carry out a variety of projects, some of which are identified, funded and carried out by FNKN members only, while others are carried out in support of Government Agencies and/or local officials – see below some examples of recent projects.

Lingap Centre for Children with Intelligence Disabilities

One of our earliest projects, partnering with this orphanage for children with Intelligence disabilities. Donating a sound system as the children love to dance, donating food, gifting caps, sunglasses, flip flops and treats to the children and building beds so they didn’t have to sleep on the floor.

NBI Drug Awareness Program

The best cure for a problem is to ensure it doesn’t start. With this mindset we partnered with the N.B.I to educate 400 of the most vulnerable children about the dangers of drug abuse. Providing hot meals and snacks over the two days. Providing speakers for the event about drug awareness and also individual counselling.

Community Food Gifting

Unlike other charities we are not reacting to a one off emergency. Philippino communities are fighting unbelievable poverty on a daily basis and with rampant inflation this is becoming much worse. Our aim is to alleviate this suffering as much possible with providing and distributing food packs to the most vulnerable communities and also to deliver directly to the homes of those in most need. This is our most common activity and we are doing all we can but we need funds to do more. Your donation counts, 100% of donations goes to our charitable deeds. Help us to help others. Stop food poverty now.

Beach and Waterways Clean Ups

This one’s a no brainer. Everyone can and should be helping. No money or equipment needed, just a rubbish sack. Clearing our beaches and waterways improves our environment and makes them safe for ourselves and the wildlife and helps in preventing plastics entering our oceans. We are delighted to team up with the PNP for this and by leading the way, hopefully educate the indigenous population that our environment matters.

Tree Planting

When the local communities main focus is battling to escape food poverty, it is easy to understand how environmental sustainability can be a low priority so we were very happy to partner with 911 to help plant a new “carbon capture” forest in our local area.

911 First Responder Training

Working and training with 911 to become certified First Responders to be able to provide assistance in times of emergency or disaster.

Mother Rivier Home for Children

FNKN is thrilled to partner with the Sisters at Mother Rivier Home. The children are happy and well cared for but their budget only goes so far. It is with great satisfaction that we are able to bring a little extra joy and happiness to the children there. Projects include funding and constructing a library and reading area and a playroom, donating school supplies and backpacks, books, additional clothes, toys and boardgames and gifts at Christmas.
